Since 2003, Panarea Digital has offered innovative services and products. Our business strives to keep up to date with new developments and integrate them into our work on a daily basis.   The year 2011 was a special one for us. We created NEARPOD, an innovative classroom tool designed for making interactive presentations using mobile devices. Schools in the USA and Brazil are already using NearPod in classrooms. The same technology that revolutionized the learning of algebra and romanticism in Germany has also improved storytelling for children.   We’ve also developed our own publishing tool: the Panarea Digital e-Reader, and we’ve already used it to create some great interactive educational books:  Green is Verde and Green é Verde. Check it out!   Speaking of educational books, “Guía Diabetes”, the first app for children with Type 1 diabetes, also demonstrates the potential of our digital reader. We began 2011 in Brazil, with the new office in São Paulo city. This month, we opened an office in one more location in the USA – in New York. Now, we can call five cities our home.   We also contributed with our expertise at book fairs in Rio de Janeiro, Madrid and Frankfurt. Here on the blog, we were able to share ideas and opinions about the world of digital books and education.   We believe that all of this was just a preview of what 2012 will be. The integration of mobile devices and the adoption of new technologies in classrooms are becoming more widespread every day. Imagine what the New Year will bring…   So, we hope for a 2012 that is as wonderful as 2011 was for us. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
