LAUNCH Education & Kids hosted a two-day conference at Microsoft’s Conference Center in Silicon Valley this Tuesday and Wednesday, June 12 and 13. It was focused on K-12 and higher education, kid-centric startups, and innovation. The event concluded with the awards ceremony. Great news: Nearpod was chosen from about 30 educational apps as the audience’s favorite!

LAUNCH organized this event with the desire of showing how technology is improving education and changing the way students from all over the world learn. All the app developers looked forward to answering crucial questions such as: How do we make education social? How can we use tablets to foster learning? How do we make both educational and safe kid-friendly apps? And how good are we at adaptive learning today? It seems like Nearpod answered these questions and fulfilled the viewers’ and judges’ expectations. It was chosen for  “its enormous potential in schools and its ability to reach a wide market.”   Congratulations to Nearpod!
